21/01 : 2009 AVA Southeast Regional Rally
The Sunshine State Voyagers of Florida are hosting the American Voyager Association 2009 Southeast Regional Rally. The Rally will be in conjunction with Biketoberfest 2009.Tentative Schedule of Events:
Thursday Evening, 15 October 2009 – Early Arrival night.
Special hotel rates under the title “American Voyager Association” begin on 15 Oct 09. Inform the reservation desk of your AVA affiliation. Consider a dinner for early arrivals in the local area.
Friday, 16 October 2009:
Ride will form at the Rally hotel that will take a scenic route to Daytona Motor Speedway. All the major bike brands will have an exhibit at the speedway. Please look for the AVA Banner and banners from other chapters of the AVA at the Riders of Kawasaki (ROK) Hospitality Area. Enjoy some rides on new Kawasaki motorcycles and walk around to all the vendors’ booths in the area (ROK will attempt to block off a time exclusively for AVA members to ride their demo bikes). ROK will host an early afternoon pizza lunch for those attending the AVA Southeast Regional.
Friday Evening, 16 October 2009:
ROK ride and dinner for all members of the ROK or the AVA.
Saturday, 17 October 2009:
Events include organized rides from the Holiday lnn to Destination Daytona, Old town Saint Augustine (oldest city in America), DeLeon Springs State Park and other locations. Red Knights who are familiar with the area will lead some rides. Ride maps will also be handed out at the hotel. Information concerning ride destinations can be found at the following websites:

Saturday Evening, 17 Oct 2009:
Awards Banquet at the Holiday Inn Express. Dinner will be catered and is included in Rally admission price.
Sunday, 18 October 2009:
Say bye to friends, old and new, consider returning home or back for more Biketoberfest events.
Hotel Information:
The primary rally hotel will be the Holiday Inn Express adjacent to Interstate 95, Exit 284. Note: This special rate will expire NLT 15 September 2009 (one month prior to the Rally). Be sure to reserve your room early by mentioning your affiliation with the American Voyager Association.
Camping Information:
The official Rally Campground is Bulow Plantation RV Resort, 3345 Old Kings Rd. Flagler Beach FL 32136. This campground is located on a quiet road less than 3 miles from the Rally hotel. The price for a camping space is $58 a night (this price as of 31 December 2008). This is for a “primitive camping site” (no water, no electric). Access to bathrooms and showers is available.
